They are shaped like stylized flowers (reminiscent of an orchid), with elegantly wavy petals.“Bugbee & Niles” (B.&N.) was founded ~1896 in Hartford, Connecticut, USA. It specialized in costume jewelry and various gold and silver-plated jewelry - including bracelets, necklaces, brooches, earrings. It used the marking BN, often engraved on screws, clasps or other details. It was active until the middle of the 20th century (~1950–1960). Classic screw-back fastening, very popular before the wave of piercing.
