The “Monet” brooch is a late 20th century modernist design. The “ Monet ©” marking with a circle means that it was produced after 1955 (when the © symbol was first used). The shape of the brooch: a geometric, openwork stylized flower/fan design with inset clear white crystals. The metal is gold-plated. Monet was famous for his triple gold-plated technology.

Monet's popularity grew after World War II due to their aesthetics and design lines. In the 1980s, Monet was created by Yves St Laurent. The jewelry is highly prized by collectors.
