Coro is one of the most prominent American jewelry manufacturers of the first half of the 20th century. The company was founded in 1901 in New York City, with production primarily in Providence, Rhode Island. Coro was known for its affordable yet stylish jewelry, often featuring seasonal or floral themes.
The Pegasus symbol is used as one of the Coro logos, usually together with the word Coro. The Pegasus + Coro logo (a winged horse next to the word Coro) was first used around 1938, and was most heavily used from 1945 to 1955. It often denotes a higher quality line in Coro's production.
