This Trifari necklace with black dangling elements and an impressive chain is a real retro statement piece. The crown marking above the TRIFARI© means that this is also a Crown Trifari - one of the most valuable stages of this company. Trifari was famous for its very high-quality coating - so-called Trifanium (a special patented finish, usually gold-colored, but there were also silver varieties). The black dangling elements are almost certainly thermoplastic (e.g. lucite ) - they imitate onyx or glass droplets, but are lighter and more durable.

To this day, Trifari remains a fine jewelry brand that is prized by vintage collectors. Although jewelry made after 2000 was not as delicate or popular, it was considered to be of exceptional quality and of the highest quality before that.
