This is a necklace of American origin, dating from the 1950s-1960s, decorated with black glass stones imitating hematite or Victorian style. The composition consists of symmetrically arranged round segments decorated with many faceted black stones (possibly hematite, black glass or cut steel). Openwork ornaments around the central elements are typical of filigree-inspired or late Victorian replicas. The “ spring ring” clasp is a common solution in American vintage costume jewelry from the 1930s to the 1970s.
