Many small workshops in Germany created jewelry with the “925” mark without the manufacturer’s logo, using a neutral oval instead. This is Murano-style art glass, as it features the layering of colors, which is characteristic of the Murano “sommerso” or aventurine technique; the gold dots look like “aventurine glass” (glass with embedded copper or gold dust sparkle), which is one of the classic Murano techniques; the imperfection of handmade work: visible surface irregularities, bubbles – they are not necessarily defects, but a sign that it is not pressed industrial, but handmade glass.
